Received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Brown University and obtained his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He then completed his surgical residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. During his residency he also spent time at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN as a research fellow pursuing his interests in transplantation immunology. He then went on to complete his vascular surgery fellowship at University Hospitals of Case Western Reserve University. He comes to Southern California to join the SDVC team and as an attending surgeon at Palomar Medical Center.
Dr. Chang received his training from some of the leading experts in the field of vascular surgery and is excited to bring these novel ideas, procedures and technologies with him. He believes that preventative and complete medical care is critical and that the best surgical outcomes come when new technologies are delivered in a collaborative and coordinated fashion with the best medical therapies. He is eager to deliver this comprehensive approach and knows that the San Diego Vascular Center is well suited to meet the complete needs of patients with vascular disease.
